2009 Summer Taxes Now Past Due
The Township is now collecting 2009 Summer taxes. They were payable by September 14, 2009, without interest.
As of September 15, 2009, all tax payments have 1% interest added through September 30th. Begining October 1, the interest is 2%, with 1% added each month until paid. Please call 231-775-6669, or check the tax link on this page (Inquire Tax Status), to get the current amount due.
Taxes may be paid by mail, or use of the drop box outside the office door beside the Fire Garage. Please, no cash payments in the drop box. You may also pay in person during the Treasurer's office hours, Wednesdays, from 8:30AM to Noon. If your property is escrowed, the escrow company requests tax amounts and we sent them directly to the escrow company. You do not need to forward your tax bill to them.
TAX BILL INFORMATION
You may now track your taxes and status by by clicking on the "Inquire Tax Status" button to the left. Then when the new page opens, click on the "tax information search" under the CURRENT TAX on the left. You then can search by name, property address, or property code begining with 2110-. After we post tax payments, the website will show the current status within 48 hours of payment. The website has the correct Summer, 2009 tax amounts due.
Elections
All future elections will be held at the Township office located behind the fire garages. The address is 4830 E. M-55.
The next election will be on November 3, 2009.
